Bernardo Sassetti

This CD has subtle and inventive music from pianist Bernardo Sassetti. The solo piano performances are mostly Sassetti's originals. Some are sophisticated and accessible enough to possibly be covered by other advanced improvisers, while others are one-chord ruminations.

The music on Unreal forms a mysterious soundtrack. After reading the part of the liner notes that were translated into English, the general story is still very unclear to me (a lot gets lost in translation) but fortunately the music mostly stands well by itself.

In "Second Life", Utopia Filmes most recent motion picture, the score is one of the main characters.
