his release presents the unique quartet recordings by Archie Shepp and Bill Dixon, originally issued on Savoy, for the first time ever on CD! As a bonus, a long unavailable sextet studio session by Archie Shepp & the New York Contemporary Five and an interesting septet session by Bill Dixon.

This release includes an outstanding session by Farmer with the well known Super Jazz Trio of Tommy Flanagan with Reggie Workman and Joe Chambers. As a bonus, two more tracks by Farmer from session with the Jazztet, OF which “From Dream To Dream” was also recorded in quartet format, two 1976 Farmer-Flanagan collaborations in quintet format with Jim Hall.
