Two authentic geniuses of their respective instruments, Coleman Hawkins and Roy Eldridge complemented each other perfectly and loved to play together. The Bayou performances were privately taped in 1958 during a one-night engagement in Washington.

Here Comes Earl Fatha Hines (1966) features Hines accompanied by Richard Davis and Elvin Jones. Fatha (1964) finds Hines backed by Ahmed Abdul-Malik and Oliver Jackson. In addition, we have included two superlative Hines compositions performed by the master in a solo piano setting.
