The fourth studio album by the second great Miles Davis quintet, and the second comprising material recorded in the pivotal year of 1967, NEFERTITI marked yet another metamorphosis in the career of a great musician noted for welcoming change.

Blue Note's version of experimental jazz in the '60s was rooted in tradition and played with uncanny empathy and a looseness that belied the precision and intricacy of the music. These four varied compositions could not have been played by anyone other than Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Cecil McBee, and Tony Williams with anywhere near the same results.

2009 digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums arranged and conducted by Benny Golson: Just Jazz! and Pop + Jazz = Swing (both released in 1962). The original album Just Jazz featured Benny Golson's arrangements of well known standards performed by an all-star group including Bill Evans, Eric Dolphy and Wayne Shorter.

This super-deluxe edition celebrates one of the most remarkable albums in Miles Davis's career and jazz history in general. Originally released in 1970, Bitches Brew became Davis's first gold album.

The recordings from their 1967 European tour are some of the only existing documentation of the band performing compositions from the extraordinary series of studio albums they made between 1965-1967 -- E.S.P., Miles Smiles, Sorcerer and Nefertiti.
