A harrowing classic, Billie Holiday's personal favorite among her '50s albums captures the singer 17 months before her death, her once honeyed voice, scarred and weakened from punishing life, its ravages highlighted by the 1958 session's crisp sonics and the contrasting "satin" of Ray Ellis' sleek string arrangements.

Originally released in 1957, Just One Of Those Things has become a standout title in the Nat King Cole library because the theme is comparable to Frank Sinatra's swing albums of the same time period and employs the same arranger and conductor, Billy May. The reissue of this classic was mixed and mastered by Steve Hoffman from the original three-track session masters.

This release contains the complete Jimmy Giuffre studio album Ad Lib, appearing here for the first time ever on CD [1-6]. Backed by Jimmy Rowles, Red Mitchell and Lawrence Marable, this quartet session mark one of the only “blowing date” Giuffre ever made, with only the head arrangements prepared.

Digitally remastered two CD set that contains the complete contents of the original Atlantic label LPs Worthwhile Konitz and Inside Hi Fi, which contain all of Konitz' 1956 quartet recordings. Among the highlights are the sides featuring Konitz, Jimmy Rowles, Leroy Vinnegar and Shelly Manne. This exact formation would never record again.
